Tour Management & Live Sound

My first forays into live music came mixing sound for concerts at the 200-person capacity venue Songbyrd in Washington D.C. in 2017. After working countless sound and stagehand shifts at various venues, I began taking gigs as a tour manager in 2021. Since then I've logged countless miles on the road as both tour manager and front of house engineer.

As tour manager, my work involves almost everything that needs to be done on a tour outside of playing the music and signing autographs. This includes booking travel, renting gear, handling logistics, driving the van, settling, handling merch, budgeting, advancing, tracking expenses, and much more.

Below is a comprehensive list of my touring and venue experience, organized by client. Individual gigs are listed and followed by the role I played in bold. Sample live FOH mixes are available upon request.

VENUE WORK

  • Echo/EchoPlex, 2024-present

    • Work as a sound engineer in both the upstairs Echo venue (FOH & Monitors from FOH) and the downstairs EchoPlex room (work shifts as both FOH and Monitor engineer).

  • The Fillmore Silver Spring, 2019-2019

    • Started as a stagehand, before moving up to work shifts as a monitor engineer and front of house engineer in this popular 2,000 capacity venue serving the Washington, D.C. area.

    • Worked here for most of 2019 before making my move to Los Angeles.

    • Worked shows for artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, JID, Santigold, 6lack, Ella Mai, Stephen Marley, Mr. Eazi, & more.

  • Songbyrd Music House, 2017-2019

    • Started working sound here in college, mixing FOH & monitors from FOH in their busy 200 capacity room. The chaotic environment is where I learned much of my live sound skills, and nurtured my abilities to not lose my cool under pressure, make adjustments on the fly, and successfully troubleshoot any sound issues as the only audio tech working when I was on shift.

    • Here I personally mixed sound for artists like Omar Apollo, Rico Nasty, Ravyn Lenae, Hers, Beach Bunny, George Clanton, & many many more.
