Studio Recording,

Mixing, & Mastering

In 2018, I graduated from American University with a Masters degree in Audio Technology, after previously completing a BA in Audio Production. This is where I picked up my skills for recording, mixing, and mastering music, which I've applied in the years since across various studios and DIY recording setups.

Below are selected works of all the recordings I've been a part of, with my role bolded.

  • ASSISTANT ENGINEER. While working at Perfect Sound Studios, I spent a month working as an assistant engineer with Donald Glover & his crew as they completed final sessions on his album 3.15.20, which was later retooled and re-released as Atavista.

  • Each day I worked directly with Glover's engineer Riley Mackin, assisting with any setups, patching, mic placement, etc., as well as coming into sessions to troubleshoot when gear was not working.

  • MASTERING.

  • The EP helped kickstart Yot Club's career with his unique warm lo-fi rock sound. The track YKWIM? in particular has caught on, garnering over 780 million streams on Spotify alone, to date.

  • RECORDING ENGINEER. The tracks were self produced & recorded by BLACKSTARKIDS, I then took the songs with them into a studio in Kansas City to lay down new recordings for the majority of the vocal tracks, as well as a few instruments.

  • ASSISTANT ENGINEER. During the recording of this album, I would arrive early to setup our makeshift studio in the DIY concert space Dwell, before helping with the setup, mic placement, and recording of the whole project.
